Senior Pastor / Priest in Charge
Andrew has had experience in the areas of youth ministry, evangelism, community care, pastoral ministry, leadership and teaching. Andrew began his ministry as an evangelist, in the mid-seventies, as Director of Evangelism for Teen Challenge, in Kings Cross. He continues to preach on the cutting edge of youth ministry and evangelism today.
In the area of pastoral ministry, he has ministered in various leadership capacities in the Anglican Church, including being a member of Bishop-in-Council, and a Rector/Senior Pastor for over fifteen years. He became Ministry Development Pastor of Garden City Christian Church, Brisbane at the turn of the millennium and has worked extensively in the area of the mobilizatison and development of lay ministry in the Church.
In recent years he has been engaged in the area of training and teaching. He has served as Lecturer and Head of the Faculty of Ministry Formation for Southern Cross Bible College (Richmond), as well as Principal of Garden City College of Ministries and College of Arts. He has experience in the area of accreditation and management of both TAFE level and University level Ministry Training Colleges, as well as in the education and training of pastors, missionaries, performing artists and lay ministers.
In addition to being Priest-in-Charge at St Jude's, Andrew also undertakes consultancy work in the area of leadership development and strategy for organisations, colleges and churches in Brisbane and Sydney. He is currently undertaking doctoral studies with the ACU, where he is finalising his PhD in the area of leadership and ministry in a new paradigm.
